Operating Room Nurse Aide in Lycksele
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for an equitable welfare system and for ensuring that research and innovation yield results.
Lycksele is the central town in Southern Lapland, offering full basic services and good transport connections to Stockholm, Umeå, and several mountain areas. You will find a job in a great living environment with ample opportunities for affordable housing. Southern Lapland is sparsely populated, meaning there is plenty of room for all of us, close to a varied nature!
About the Department
The Operating Department is part of the Surgical Centre Southern Lapland. This also includes the central sterile department, surgical & orthopedic clinic, ward, ICU, and helicopter operations. We are a cheerful team and a well-functioning unit where we provide both planned and emergency healthcare. We perform surgeries along with postoperative care, HIA (High Dependency Unit), and intensive care, covering specialties such as surgery, gynecology-obstetrics, and radiology.
1 position(s).
Responsibilities
As a nurse aide with us, you contribute with service, development, and engagement.
Here, you are responsible for the patient's safety, good care, and nursing before, during, and after surgery within your specialty area. You work independently while being part of an operating team, so collaboration is a key part of our daily work.
It is natural for us to assist and supervise students and contribute to the development of operations.
You work according to a fixed schedule with on-call duties from home during inconvenient hours.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with a completed nurse aide education. Experience from operating room activities is meritorious, and we seek you with good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. The position includes on-call duties, which means a quick response time at the workplace; therefore, having a driver's license is an advantage.
As a person, we see that you have good collaboration skills, are flexible in thought and action, and have the ability to make quick decisions. You have a drive to contribute to the development of operations. We also see that you actively contribute to a good work environment and promote safety, learning, respect, and a professional attitude.
Since "nurse aide" is a protected title, you need to provide a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively, a certificate of employment that shows you are covered by the National Board of Health and Welfare's transitional provisions and can use the title until June 30, 2033.
