Process Engineer for Water and Wastewater Operations in Stenungsund
Stenungsund, a good society with confidence in the future, development with people and nature at the center.
Stenungsund Municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 inhabitants, a strong business community, residential environments close to the sea, and good transport links. The municipality has a well-developed cultural and association life, as well as excellent conditions for outdoor recreation. The municipality's key words are holism, openness, participation, and transparency.
The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 inhabitants by 2035. Stenungsund Municipality is part of the Gothenburg Region Municipal Association, which serves as a forum for cooperation and experience sharing, as well as in several other inter-municipal collaborations.
The Water and Wastewater Operations Unit is a small, tightly knit team where you, as a Process Engineer, collaborate closely with operations technicians, project engineers, and environmental engineers. Together, we drive the development of the municipality's treatment plants, waterworks, pump stations, and stormwater facilities. The main facility is a Bio-P wastewater treatment plant with nitrogen removal, and the scale of operations means that optimization and continuous development are central parts of our work.

- Be responsible for stormwater facilities, including the development of routines, regulations, and self-control programs.
- Work closely with operations technicians through daily operations, supervision, and preventive maintenance to ensure stable operation and good process performance.
With us, you will get a varied and developing role that combines operations, laboratory work, and work in development projects. In a smaller organization like ours, you will have ample opportunity to influence and improve processes and to help shape future ways of working. We have a clear focus on sustainability and innovative water and wastewater solutions for the future, where technical development meets social benefit, and your work makes a real difference.
