Markverkstad Kungsängen is a section within Markverkstad Stockholm, which is one of eight departments within the Land Workshop Unit (MvE) and belongs to the Army Staff. Mv Stockholm currently has approximately 90 employees and operates in Kungsängen, Berga, and Falun.

The workshop performs maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and delivers technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and equipment inspection.

Main Responsibilities

As a Telecommunications Technician at the Land Workshop's Field Telecommunications Detail, you will perform functional checks, troubleshooting, and repairs on the Swedish Armed Forces' communications equipment. The tasks include maintenance of soldier-carried, cabin, and vehicle-mounted telephony, radio, and line systems commonly found in our land forces. The majority of the daily work is carried out in our Field Telecommunications Workshop at the Life Guards in Kungsängen. However, there are also tasks and assignments at our units' locations or in other locations under simpler field conditions.

Requirements – Qualifications

• We are looking for you who have completed at least a two- or three-year upper secondary education with a focus on electricity/telecommunications/technology, or alternatively, competence acquired through professional experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Good computer skills.
• Category B driver's license.

Merits

• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' telephony/radio/line systems.
• Experience in configuration/troubleshooting of computers and networks.
• Good knowledge in the field of telephony/radio communications.
• Category C driver's license.
• Military ranks/qualifications.
• Experience with soft soldering and crimping.

• Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period.
• Employment level: Full-time, daytime hours – varying working hours may occur.

The work also entails requirements for travel and duty, both domestic and international. The position is a civilian post.
