Your Responsibilities

Do you have experience with project accounting and follow-up in externally funded projects? Do you thrive in a role where structure, precision, and requirement setting are central? We are now looking for a Project Economist for a 50% position. In this role, you will work with ongoing project accounting and financial follow-up, ensuring that costs and revenues are booked correctly in accordance with each funder's requirements. You are responsible for compiling financial reports, forecasts, and materials for reporting to various funders. You monitor the project's economy against the budget, analyze deviations, and act as a support to project managers in financial matters. The role also involves quality assurance that projects meet requirements related to eligible costs, documentation, and audits. Furthermore, you contribute to developing and ensuring efficient routines and working methods for project follow-up and reporting.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant post-secondary education in economics or equivalent
• Experience with project accounting and project follow-up
• Experience working with funders such as Tillväxtverket, EU, Vinnova, or similar
• Good understanding of regulations regarding external funding
• Good skills in Excel and financial systems
• Good command of Swedish and English
