We are now looking for an enthusiastic district nurse to join our lovely team at Kil Health Centre!

Your workplace

Kil Health Centre has nearly 12,000 registered patients and approximately 35 employees. We are a well-functioning health centre with experienced and dedicated staff. We are a great group of people who truly enjoy working together and care about each other!

The health centre is located in a beautiful natural setting, about 20 km north of Karlstad, with good transport connections; both bus and train are available options. You will work in a team together with doctors (district, specialty training, and resident doctors), assistant nurses, healthcare administrators, chiropodists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and caretakers. The health centre also houses a physiotherapy clinic, a maternal and child health centre (BMM), a child health centre (BVC), and a laboratory.

We work from a health-promoting occupational safety perspective, and we offer wellness benefits and time for health-promoting activities, subject to operational needs.

Your responsibilities

As a district nurse, you are a key resource at our health centre. You will perform standard primary care duties, including independent patient consultations and telephone advice. In acute care situations, our approach is based on an interdisciplinary acute care team.

We also offer specialist nurse clinics for conditions such as diabetes, heart failure, asthma/COPD, and dementia. A significant part of the role involves supervising students from various educational levels.

We work with the electronic patient record system Cosmic.

Your skills and competencies

We are primarily looking for you if you are a licensed district nurse, but we also welcome registered nurses with specialist competence in diabetes, asthma/COPD, dementia, or heart failure.

We value personal qualities such as stability and involvement, which contribute to a good work environment and safety culture.

As a person, you are social and outgoing, with a strong ability to build relationships. You treat patients, relatives, and colleagues in a positive and respectful manner. We highly value teamwork and collaboration with all staff categories, as well as self-awareness and independence. You are flexible and stable, able to adapt to changing circumstances and handle stressful situations.
