Maintenance Engineer
To our maintenance department, we are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer who wants to help develop and ensure a safe and efficient production. The maintenance work is carried out in close collaboration between Cambrex's own staff and external suppliers, where you have a central role in coordinating, directing, and following up on initiatives.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for the entire maintenance process, from analysis and needs identification to planning, execution, follow-up, and documentation. You work both operationally and strategically to ensure high technical availability and long-term sustainability in the facilities.
We offer you a varied and developmental role where you actively drive and participate in change and improvement work. You become part of an engaged team and have many contact areas within the organization, for example with production, quality, and external partners.
Responsibilities and Tasks
In the role, you are responsible for maintenance within one or more production facilities. The work includes, among other things:
- Develop, implement, and follow up on routines for preventive and corrective maintenance
- Plan, lead, and coordinate maintenance shutdowns and technical interventions
- Ensure that maintenance activities are carried out according to current safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Initiate and drive improvement work for increased operational safety and efficiency
- Analyze operational disruptions, identify root causes, and propose long-term solutions
- Participate in investment and development projects related to the facilities
- Procure and follow up on external suppliers and sign service agreements
- Ensure correct documentation in the maintenance system and according to internal routines
The role also entails a clear responsibility to contribute to a strong safety and quality culture and to work proactively with continuous improvements.
Qualifications
- Technical university degree or post-secondary education, or equivalent work experience
- A few years of experience in modern maintenance work within process, pharmaceutical, or similar industry
- Good understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Experience in improvement work and methods such as 5S, TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
- Good communication skills in speech and writing
