YOUR NEW JOB

Do you want to work in a library operation where the meeting with people is at the center? We are now looking for a librarian who wants to strengthen our team during a period when we are simultaneously driving development projects. We offer a varied, social, and meaningful job in a small but engaged work group where we support each other, and together develop our library operations.

As a librarian with us, you work primarily at the information desk where you meet and guide visitors regarding loans, information searching, and other library matters. The work also includes shelving books, receiving class visits and other groups, program activities, and other common library tasks.

YOUR COMPETENCE

We are looking for you who have a degree in Library and Information Science, good literary knowledge, and a strong interest in literature mediation. You thrive in a dynamic environment and can handle periods with varying workloads. Experience of library work is meritorious.

As a person, you have a good sense of service and the ability to take initiative. You are self-reliant and take responsibility for your task. You communicate easily and express yourself well in speech and writing. You work systematically and have a commitment to developing the business together with your colleagues.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

Vindeln Library is an integrated public and school library. We also have integrated branch libraries in Granö, Hällnäs, and Tvärålund, as well as a branch in Åmsele.

Vindeln Library is a "more open" library, which means that visitors can use the premises even when they are unstaffed. Our staffed opening hours are Monday to Thursday, with evening opening on Thursdays. During the winter half-year, we have Saturday opening.
