The Maternal Health Care in Southern Kalmar County offers a part-time temporary position as a midwife, located at the Family Centre in Mönsterås.
Your mission as a midwife is to promote and prevent illness, identify risks to health, and contribute to good sexual and reproductive health. You will minimize risks and morbidity for women and children during pregnancy, childbirth, and infancy. The Maternal Health Care services include pregnancy monitoring, contraceptive counseling, gynecological cell sample checks, and youth services.
The clinic in Mönsterås works together with the clinic in Högsby as "twin clinics" to best serve our patients. In these clinics, you will work with youth health services, meeting young people and young adults between the ages of 13 and 23. You will provide advice and support on issues such as sexuality, contraception, and STI testing. At our Maternal Health Care center, we supervise midwifery and medical students. As a midwife here, you will work independently while continuously developing professionally through personal interactions with many different types of people. A rewarding aspect of our work is the opportunity to follow expectant parents over a longer period, supporting them through pregnancy and into parenthood.
Here, you will be part of our continuous development work, which we consider an integral part of our daily operations. We offer ongoing training days, MHV (Maternal Health Care) days, and various process groups where you can contribute to developing and improving our work.
The position is a part-time temporary contract with daytime hours Monday–Friday. The start date is autumn 2026 or earlier by agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

It is advantageous if you have training in sexology and motivational interviewing, as well as experience with the medical record systems Cosmic and Obstetrix. It is an advantage if you speak languages other than Swedish, as we serve patients from diverse backgrounds. Since you will work at both clinics, a driver's license is required.
