Assistant Nurse for Blood Sampling – Clinical Chemistry, Skellefteå

Laboratory Medicine is a county organization with operations in Lycksele, Skellefteå, and Umeå. Laboratory Medicine Västerbotten comprises approximately 520 employees within clinical genetics, clinical immunology and transfusion medicine, clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, and clinical pathology. The organization also includes a biobank, infection control, and a tissue bank. The operations are accredited.

Clinical Chemistry, where you will be placed, is one of five included laboratory specialties. We are located at the Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå as well as at the district hospitals in Lycksele and Skellefteå. We have a total of approximately 140 employees, of whom about 30 are based in Skellefteå. The operations run 24/7. Approximately 6,000 test tubes arrive daily at Clinical Chemistry in the county, and approximately 7 million analyses are performed annually.

The laboratory in Skellefteå includes, in addition to clinical chemistry, transfusion medicine with blood collection and acute serological operations, a sampling unit, and rapid tests within clinical microbiology.

About the Position

We are now looking for an Assistant Nurse for the sampling unit at Skellefteå Hospital. This is a single position.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe.

You will work with venous and capillary blood sampling. Work with sample sorting in sample reception may also be relevant.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are an Assistant Nurse and have experience working with blood sampling.

You are service-oriented and can maintain a professional attitude in various situations. You collaborate easily and have a good approach to patient interaction. You have good knowledge of Swedish. Proficiency in English is an asset.

Onboarding and training will be provided based on your competence. We welcome your application!
