Environmental Worker/Waste Collection Driver Summer Position (Skaraborg)

The company assists municipalities and businesses with services in waste management, sludge and water/sewage, recycling, transport, and contracting. The group also includes Puls – Planerad Underhållsservice AB, Soreto Services AB, Exellent Syd AB, ÖMAB, and Tintorella Fastigheter AB.

About the position

At Ohlssons, we are looking for an Environmental Worker/Waste Collection Driver for a summer position with a Category C driving license for our waste collection contract in Skaraborg. In this role, you will have a varied daily routine working outdoors, performing meaningful work that contributes to a sustainable future. Your main tasks will involve collecting household waste according to planned routes using our right-hand drive side-loading waste collection trucks. Your routes will primarily cover Falköping, Skara, and Vara municipalities. Additionally, driving in Götene, Essunga, or Grästorp may occur as needed.

It is important that you are meticulous to ensure all bins are emptied, and that you take responsibility for carrying out the work in a safe and secure manner. You are an important ambassador for Ohlssons as you interact with many customers; therefore, it is important that you have a positive attitude and enjoy providing good service.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Category C driving license.
• Valid YKB (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Experience in the driving profession, experience in the waste management industry is a plus.
• Basic IT skills.
• Good communication skills in Swedish.
• Local knowledge of the region is a plus.

This is a summer position. Place of work: Falköping, alternatively Skara or Vara depending on your place of residence.
