Oskarshamns Parish is looking for an engaged and creative church musician with a heart for children and young people. Do you want to develop our musical life together with us and inspire the next generation in the church? Then this might be the job for you!

As a church musician in Oskarshamns Parish, you will play an important role in our work with children and young people. The main focus is on leading and developing activities and services together with musicians, educators, and other colleagues, based on biblical narratives and human longing, so that people – and especially children – can grow in faith and expression.

The role includes, among other things:

• Leading, developing, and inspiring children's and youth activities from a musical perspective, together with skilled colleagues.
• Participating in church services.
• Leading adult choirs.
• Participating in "Mass with Little and Big" and "God in the Middle of the Week" services.
• Performing duties at nursing homes and soup lunches.
• Serving at high mass.
• Collaboration between church, school, and society.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a church musician education or equivalent experience, and is eager to train as a church musician while working.
• Has a strong commitment to children and young people.
• Is pedagogical, creative, and team-oriented.
• Has experience leading both children, young people, and adults.
• Sings and plays piano and organ. Proficiency in other instruments is an advantage.
• Wants to contribute to developing the church's musical life.
