About the School

The position is for full-time during the autumn term of 2026, starting in week 35 and running until week 51. The assignment is located in Laholm Municipality, primarily based at Våxtorpsskolan, but work may also take place at other school units as needed.

Your Responsibilities

As a School Nurse, you are responsible for the medical work within the student health service and work primarily with students in grades F–9. Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Planning, preparing, and conducting health visits and health checks according to current guidelines.
• Administering vaccinations within the framework of the school's vaccination program.
• Providing basic healthcare interventions during spontaneous student visits.
• Participating in the student health team's work and contributing to Student Health Team (SHT) meetings.
• Collaborating with school management, teaching staff, and external actors such as healthcare and social services.
• Booking and attending school doctor appointments.
• Conducting follow-ups and checks of students.
• Documenting in the journal system (PMO) according to current regulations.
• Performing administrative tasks related to the student health service's assignment.

You work based on local routines and actively contribute to developing and ensuring the quality of the student health service's medical interventions.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse, school nurse, or pediatric nurse, and who have experience working with children and young people. You are confident in your profession and have the ability to work independently while thriving in collaboration with other functions within the student health service. You have a structured approach to work and good ability to plan and prioritize your interventions. To succeed in the role, you are communicative, relationship-building, and have a professional approach towards students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good administrative skills and are accustomed to documenting in journal systems. We would appreciate if you have experience in school healthcare and working according to the student health service's assignment, as well as experience collaborating with external actors such as healthcare and social services.
