About the Position

We are looking for you who want to work at the intersection between research and practical application. You will become an important part of an experienced team where we jointly develop methods, algorithms, and systems within image and signal processing as well as machine learning.

The applications span areas such as surveillance and monitoring systems and autonomous vehicles. As an expert, you contribute with experience, a holistic perspective, and technical depth.

The work includes, among other things:

• Formulating problems and identifying solutions in dialogue with clients.
• 3D modeling of military vehicles and environments.
• Conducting measurements/tests with systems for collecting 3D data.
• Developing and evaluating methods for analyzing 3D data.
• Documenting and reporting results.
• Translating research results into functional applications.

About the Unit

You will join the unit Sensor-Close Data Analysis and Simulation, which belongs to Cyber Defense and Command Technology in Linköping. A central part of the unit's research consists of the development and evaluation of methods and algorithms for the automatic analysis of sensor data from individual sensors, as well as detailed simulation of sensor data. The goal is to facilitate interpretation of information for users or various technical systems for monitoring and unmanned vehicles. Important types of sensors include radar, optical, and 3D imaging sensors.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have:

• Several years of relevant experience from industry, institutes, or academia.
• Experience with:
• CAD and other tools for 3D modeling.
• Creation of 3D models for simulation and analysis.
• Sensor systems and measurement data collection for generating 3D data.
• Method development and analysis of 3D data.
• Documentation and presentation of results in report form.
• Work in research or development projects.

You are self-motivated, have good collaboration skills, and thrive in complex projects where solutions are not always obvious.

The position is a permanent employment that may start with a six-month probation period.
