Senior Consultant in Endocrine Surgery at Akademiska Sjukhuset

Department of Surgery and Urology

We have approximately 450 employees distributed across clinics, wards, and medical sections. A large part of our care consists of national and regional patients referred for highly specialized investigation and treatment. We are a research-intensive clinic working in close collaboration with Uppsala University.

Endocrine Section

We are now looking for a Senior Consultant for the endocrine surgical section. The Endocrine Section is a complete unit that performs all types of surgical treatment within our field. We perform surgery for benign and malignant diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands, as well as neuroendocrine tumors in the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas. The unit conducts and participates in numerous research studies and teaches medical students and doctors in training.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed physician with completed specialist training in surgery. You have worked for at least 5 years as a specialist physician and hold a doctoral degree. Ongoing research in the field is an advantage. Great importance is placed on personal suitability as well as the ability to collaborate and lead.
