The Food and Premises Care Unit belongs to the Child and Education Department. The department has approximately 800 employees. The department's operations extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school grades F-9, adapted primary school, after-school centers, food and premises care, mother tongue instruction, and library services.

About 80 employees work at the food unit. The food unit handles meals at preschools, schools, special housing, and meal boxes for home care services. The municipality has 38 production and reception kitchens where a total of approximately 3,500 portions are produced every day.

Blomstergården is a production kitchen where approximately 40 portions are produced per meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), as well as approximately 60 meal portions for residents who receive meal delivery. The kitchen team at Blomstergården consists of a lead chef, an assistant lead chef, and 2 kitchen assistants.

A day as a chef with supervisory responsibilities at Blomstergården

You are responsible for daily operations, ensuring food is handled safely, conducting self-inspections, and ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are handled according to current guidelines. It is important that you contribute to and work for a good working environment and that your colleagues feel included.

The role requires good administrative skills. The operations are run with an economic mindset, goods are ordered, and invoices are paid.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have completed a 3-year upper secondary education in hospitality and catering, or have equivalent experience in similar tasks.

Requirements for good Swedish in speech and writing.

Good computer skills are meritorious.

As a person, you are flexible, self-initiating, meticulous, and positive. You find it easy to cooperate and have a solution-focused approach to work. With a strong service spirit, great engagement, and good communication, you always put the diner at the center.

Other information

Temporary position at 100% until 2027-08-31. Start date by agreement.

Working hours are during daytime, weekdays, and weekends.
