We are now looking for a Business-Adjacent Process Developer for the Wood business area who wants to drive continuous improvement of our business processes, with a clear focus on business utility, digitalization, and collaboration between operations and systems.

Your responsibilities

In the role of Process Developer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with various parts of the business and contribute to ensuring that our working methods and tools are efficient, appropriate, and support the business area's strategy and goals. You will play a central role in identifying improvement needs, prioritizing development initiatives, and translating business requirements into concrete solutions.

You will also be working on:

  • defining, prioritizing, and driving smaller continuous development and improvement initiatives
  • capturing and structuring improvement proposals from the business
  • translating business requirements into technical specifications and requirements, for example related to business systems (ERP)
  • preparing decision support materials for major improvements
  • leading and participating in improvement forums and training initiatives related to sub-processes and systems
  • documenting and developing processes, including process maps and training materials

The position is a permanent full-time role, located in Växjö or Långasjö. Travel to production units will occur.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is curious, structured, and has a strong interest in process development and business-adjacent improvement work. You thrive in collaboration with many different stakeholders and have the ability to see the big picture, while also being able to dive into details when needed.

To succeed in the role, you need:

  • good ability to analyze and handle complex issues
  • relevant education or equivalent work experience
  • ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
  • valid driver's license (Category B)

We would also appreciate if you have experience with:

  • working in production, logistics, or customer service functions
  • working with business systems/ERP within production, warehousing, and logistics
  • driving or participating in development or improvement initiatives
  • change management and working in the interface between operations and IT
  • process mapping and process improvement methodology

As a person, you are communicative, fearless, and receptive. You work in a structured manner, have a drive to develop and improve, and are motivated by creating real utility in the business.

Join us in building a sustainable society

Södra is one of the country's largest forest industry companies and is jointly owned by more than 50,000 family-owned forest holdings in southern Sweden. In addition to developing forestry, we strive to always use the forest raw material in the most efficient and climate-smart way. Paper pulp, timber, textile pulp, and bio-products are just a few examples. By working together, we have the strength, commitment, and courage required to build a sustainable society. This is done with our feet on the ground, our ear to the outside world, and our gaze forward.
