Kumla Municipality Waste Department Seeks On-Call Waste Worker

We are now looking for more on-call staff who can work when the operations have needs, for example during sickness or vacation of regular staff. We are looking for you who feel a responsibility for the environment, want to meet people, and are good at doing a good job. We are a department that likes to have a high service level and are proud of our operations.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as a waste worker at the recycling center involves customer contact, providing information to visitors, and assisting customers to sort correctly.

Examples of tasks:

• Receive visitors and show where different waste should be sorted
• Answer questions about sorting and regulations
• Help customers unload and sort materials
• Maintenance of green areas and picking up litter as we want it to look neat

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a high service level, to be able to help our municipal residents sort correctly.

Requirements:

• Three-year upper secondary education with a focus on vehicles/machinery or other education or experience assessed as equivalent.
• Good computer skills.
• Driver's license, Category B, loader is meritorious
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Meritorious:

• Knowledge and experience of waste collection.
• Good mechanical knowledge.
