Temporary Garbage Truck Drivers Needed at Kumla Municipality

The waste management department of Kumla Municipality is currently seeking temporary garbage truck drivers. We are looking for you who feel a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment and enjoy interacting with people. We are a department that values high service standards and is proud of our operations.

We are seeking additional temporary staff who can work as needed, for example, during sick leave or vacation of permanent staff. In these roles, you will perform important and valuable work.

Job Responsibilities

Examples of tasks include:

• Collecting waste and household waste from households and businesses.
• Checking off the driving list.
• Driving to the waste facility and emptying the garbage truck.
• Maintaining and washing the garbage truck.

Requirements and Qualifications

Modern garbage trucks are technologically advanced, making good computer literacy an important part of the job. The vehicles demand high standards of maintenance, and mechanical knowledge is a plus. Previous knowledge and experience in waste collection are considered advantageous.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A three-year upper secondary education with a focus on vehicles/machinery, or other education/experience deemed equivalent.
• Good computer literacy.
• A driver's license, at least category C and YKB (professional competence certificate for drivers of certain goods vehicles).
• The ability to work both independently and in a team.

We value that you have a good sense of direction and a high level of service, to help our residents sort their waste correctly.

Employment Conditions

• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 3–6 months.
• Start date: By agreement.
• Working hours: Daytime.
