Ekebys Animal Practice in Uppsala is looking for a certified veterinary nurse (DSS) or animal care specialist level 3 for a maternity leave vacancy starting in September.

We are a privately owned clinic with three veterinarians. Most of our patients are cats and dogs, but we also gladly welcome rabbits and small rodents.

We are looking for someone with anesthesia experience who is a certified veterinary nurse (DSS) or an animal care specialist with extended qualifications at level 3, and who has at least one year of practical experience working in a veterinary clinic. You are cheerful, meticulous, and service-oriented, with a gentle touch with both animals and people. You collaborate easily, communicate well with your colleagues, and are proactive in suggesting solutions.

The tasks are varied. Some days you assist and manage anesthesia on the dental department (TIVA), while other days you work in a team with veterinarians in the outpatient clinic or in surgery. You also help with other routine tasks at a small veterinary clinic, such as laboratory work, injections, reception duties, autoclaving, dishwashing, and cleaning. Experience with radiography and hands-free working is considered an asset. We strive to work as "Fear Free" as possible to ensure even shy and fearful animals have a positive visit experience. We are a team of colleagues who are unpretentious and supportive of one another.

The position is full-time (part-time can be discussed if desired) for at least one year. Shifts are during the day and evening according to the schedule. No on-call duties or night shifts.
