The Care and Social Services Administration in Östersund is now seeking an engaged care assistant with coordination responsibilities for special housing at Sollidenvägen 64 C.

The residence is beautifully located in a forested area with good bus connections to the center of Östersund. There are 52 apartments spread over two floors with common areas for meals, activities, and social interaction, as well as a pleasant outdoor space for the residents. The operation is characterized by a warm and family-like atmosphere where safety, quality, and continuity are in focus.

The position is a full-time employment as a care assistant with coordination responsibilities that are extended annually. Working hours are during the day, 07:00-16:00 on weekdays.

Your new job

As a care assistant with coordination responsibilities, you are part of the unit's leadership team and have a central role as the hub. You act as a good ambassador for the employer and the workplace. The assignment includes planning and organizing daily work. This includes scheduling, staffing, supporting nursing staff in their work, booking training, and planning for and booking hourly substitutes during absence. You will also work in the daily nursing care at the residence.

You collaborate with nursing staff, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, unit manager, deputy unit manager, and sector administrator. The role requires that you enjoy having many social contacts as you have continuous contact with citizens and their relatives, as well as coordinating with other operations affecting the citizens. Another important task is to administer in various operation systems.

Common tasks

  • Staff and schedule based on legislation and received economic frameworks, as well as plan for different types of absence
  • Plan and ensure a good introduction for new employees, interns, and holiday workers
  • Nursing care work
  • Participate in citizens' move-in and move-out
  • Be involved in the unit's leadership group
  • Support and guide staff in various representative roles
  • Establish and revise the unit's routines
  • Create and maintain good relationships with employees, citizens, and relatives
  • Be involved in the unit's business planning and monthly follow-ups
  • The unit manager may delegate other tasks in addition to this.

Your qualifications

Requirements

  • Trained care assistant
  • 3 years of work experience from healthcare
  • Experience in administrative work
  • Good computer skills and system familiarity
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written

Meritorious

  • Experience in leading staff groups
  • Experience with the operation systems Heroma and Viva
  • Experience with delegated health and medical care measures
  • Experience with difficult conversations and knowledge in communicating a message clearly and understandably
