Thorax Centre provides highly specialized cardiac and thoracic surgery care, as well as care within the areas of invasive electrophysiology, pacemakers, ICD/CRT, invasive cardiology/PCI, and TAVI. Approximately 200 employees work within the clinic on care, intensive care, and radiology departments, as well as in outpatient and surgical operations. We have a broad and varied workload and conduct both emergency and planned activities. The clinic has a dedicated instructional nurse who contributes to further education and development.

About the Job

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (HIA) consists of 4-6 beds. We provide patient-centered care in close collaboration with Thoracic Radiology, from where we follow our patients directly to HIA.

On the cardiac intensive care unit, we provide highly specialized cardiac intensive care, equipped with modern apparatus. We handle CPAP, ischemia monitoring, arterial catheters, CVC, pericardial drains, pleural drains, transvenous pacemakers, electrical cardioversions, as well as postoperative care for TAVI and in some cases intermediate postoperative care for CABG.

The work is independent and varied in a team consisting of nurses, assistant nurses, and doctors. The tasks include continuous observation, careful monitoring, and high-quality nursing care.

At HIA, we work together and distribute the work among ourselves as needed. We have patient responsibility for our heart attack patients in Thoracic Radiology during on-call hours. The staffing is 2 nurses and 1-2 assistant nurses around the clock.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. If you also have experience in cardiac care, are trained as an ICU nurse, or hold other significant specialist competence, it is an advantage.
