Karlskrona Resource School Aklejaskolan is located on Gullberna. Here we work in small teaching groups with a holistic approach to each student and their individual needs. The school is for students who require special adaptations of the entire school environment and teaching. The school has 30 places.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a qualified teacher in the subjects of Technology and Physics for the later years of compulsory school. As a teacher, you have a central role in teaching the resource school's classes and developing teaching by using varied methods based on the students' different needs. You are expected to integrate with colleagues as a natural part of your teaching to create a safe and engaging learning environment. An important part of your work is to establish a calm and secure study environment in the classroom, so that students feel safe and motivated to learn. You will also actively work to build strong professional relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, to promote a positive and collaborative atmosphere at the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualified teacher with certification to teach in grades 7-9.
• Qualification in the subjects of Technology and Physics.
• Other subjects in the teaching certification may be meritorious.

You have an interest in developing teaching with varied methods and see work in close teams, relationship building with students, colleagues, and parents as interesting and a prerequisite for success in your work. You are good at creating and strengthening collaborations internally and externally, as well as building new relationships and nurturing existing ones.

We are looking for someone who thrives working in teams and strives for common goals. It is natural for you to compromise and to absorb and share information and knowledge. You are communicative and clear. You have the ability to listen actively to understand others' perspectives and give and receive constructive feedback.

For this position, you must be able to present a valid extract from the criminal record.

MERITORIOUS

Previous experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder is meritorious.
