Care Assistant for the Dementia Ward at Bompabacken

Job Responsibilities

Your duties consist of providing care, help, and support to our residents on the dementia ward at the Bompabacken elderly care home. As a care assistant, you are part of the daily work to ensure that individuals maintain good living conditions based on different prerequisites and needs. You should collaborate and work solution-focused to meet the individual's needs without restricting their right to self-determination, privacy, and influence.

A large part of the position involves traditional care and nursing work.

The assignment may include:

• Promoting social community and engagement
• Assisting with personal care such as showering, toilet visits, help with meals, etc.
• Documenting and handling medication (delegation test is conducted upon employment)
• Planning and conducting activities in daily life
• Guiding and supporting the individual in a lifestyle that prevents illness, including regarding diet, physical activity, and social stimulation
• Working pedagogically

The work is scheduled during daytime hours between approx. 07:00–21:30. You work days or evenings and every other weekend. We have a fixed basic schedule.

We can offer great variation in the work since our operations consist of a dementia ward, a supported living facility (SBO), and a home care group. We work across ward boundaries when necessary, and we also work with resource shifts.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are educated as a care assistant. We value good interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a desire to make a difference for others. You must also be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Salary Form: Monthly salary.
Salary Interval: The salary for the position currently lies within the range of 26,190 SEK – 37,357 SEK per month, based on 2025 salary levels. *The salary range includes specialist education.
Employment Type: Permanent employment.
