Do you want a key role in an organization where procurement is a strategic success factor? We are looking for a Category Buyer who wants to drive development within indirect categories and create business value through strong collaborations, smart sourcing, and long-term supplier relationships.

About the role

As a Category Buyer, you are responsible for developing and implementing category strategies within Indirect categories such as IT, digital solutions, consulting services, telecommunications, software/licenses, and other indirect services. You work closely with business managers and specialists to ensure cost-effective, innovative, and business-oriented solutions that support the company's strategic goals.

The role involves a broad network of internal stakeholders and external suppliers, both nationally and internationally.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies for Indirect categories in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Lead tenders, bidding processes, and commercial negotiations.
  • Responsible for contract management and supplier governance.
  • Identify and implement cost savings and value-creating initiatives in line with the function's roadmap.
  • Sourcing and managing supplier relationships throughout the supplier lifecycle.
  • Conduct market analyses and environmental scanning to identify new opportunities and manage risks.
  • Support the business in purchasing IT systems, licenses, consulting services, and other indirect services.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's procurement processes, governance, and ways of working.

About you

Qualifications:

  • University degree in procurement, economics, law, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Several years of experience in strategic procurement or category management within Indirect and/or IT categories.
  • Experience in negotiating complex commercial contracts.
  • Good understanding of IT contracts, license models, consulting procurement, and supplier governance.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data and business analytics.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with SaaS, cloud, and license agreements.
  • Competence in contract management is appreciated.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity, IT security risks, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience from international operations or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with e-sourcing tools and procurement systems.
