About the workplace

Our home care service is part of Ersta Diakoni and provides support and care in daily life so that our customers can continue to live at home. The role also includes contributing to social community and a meaningful everyday life. We are located in Stockholm, Gävle, and Sundsvall.

Our unit Stockholm West is located on Kungsholmen, where we cover three geographical areas: Norrmalm, Kungsholmen, and Fredhäll, including the Essinge islands.

About the role

In home care, no two days are alike. As a nursing assistant, you contribute important professional competence in the meeting with our customers. You help with what they cannot manage to do themselves in everyday life due to physical, psychological, or social circumstances, and based on what the assistance decision states. This can involve personal care, grocery shopping, cleaning, walks, other social activities, or accompanying customers to doctor or hairdresser appointments.

The work is also about creating security, noticing needs, and adapting support based on each person's situation. Our core value "See the human being" permeates everything we do and guides us in our meetings with customers, relatives, and colleagues.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and are proud of your profession. You understand that good care is built on both knowledge and relationships, and you want to use your skills to make a difference in people's daily lives.

The most important thing is that you have a commitment to your work and a drive to develop and improve. You should be team-oriented, flexible, and see good treatment and respect for other people as a matter of course – whether it concerns colleagues, customers, or relatives.

Your experience

We are looking for you who:

• are a trained nursing assistant
• can express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• can cycle

We would appreciate it if you had experience working in home care or other elderly care, but this is not a requirement.
