Dalasinfoniettan is seeking an alternating principal flutist, with piccolo duty

The position is a permanent employment (100%) starting from the 2027–2028 season, with a probationary year.

About Dalasinfoniettan

Dalasinfoniettan is a chamber orchestra in the heart of Dalarna, where nature is as rich as culture. The orchestra consists of 28 full-time musicians. Dalasinfoniettan has performed with international soloists such as Janine Jansen, Evelyn Glennie, Martin Fröst, and Víkingur Ólafsson. The orchestra frequently collaborates with conductors such as Roberto González-Monjas, Malin Broman, Tobias Ringborg, Chloé van Soeterstède, and Ariel Zuckermann. The Chief Conductor since 2024 is the French conductor Claire Levacher, and the 1st Guest Conductor is Simon Crawford-Phillips (from 2027). Dalasinfoniettan is a versatile orchestra that performs folk music, jazz, and popular music alongside the classical repertoire. All musicians in the orchestra are also active as chamber musicians in smaller ensembles and school concerts. Dalasinfoniettan reaches a broad audience throughout Dalarna. In the spring of 2027, we will move into a new concert hall in the heart of Falun.

The audition will take place in Falun on October 26 and 27, 2026.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Flute Concerto in G major, K. 313, 1st movement without cadenza and 2nd movement without cadenza.

Piccolo: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Rondo in D major K.Anh. 184, from the beginning up to measure 88.

An ensemble audition may also be required.

Dalasinfoniettan provides a pianist for the audition. Expenses for the applicant are not reimbursed.
