Job Description – CNC Operator / Miller

As a CNC Operator / Miller, you will set up, program, and run milling machines for both prototypes and series production. You are responsible for ensuring that parts are produced according to drawings and specifications with high quality and delivery precision. The role involves practical work at the machine, measuring, quality control, and collaboration with production and engineering to optimize processes.

Examples of Tasks – Production & Machining

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines according to work orders and manufacturing documents
  • Program and adjust programs in the machine's control system or in CAM tools
  • Perform measurements and quality controls to ensure tolerances are met
  • Change and set up tools, and conduct machine trial runs
  • Follow safety routines and contribute to an orderly and clean work environment
  • Participate in improvement work to optimize cycle times, tool life, and production flows

Technical Environment and Tools

You will work with modern machinery and industrial control systems. Experience with control systems such as Heidenhain, Fanuc, or similar, as well as CAM tools like Mastercam, is advantageous. Your Profile – Competence and Skills

  • Technical interest and practical problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CNC milling is advantageous, but education or a willingness to learn weighs heavily
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and follow work instructions
  • Precise, systematic, and quality-conscious
  • Good teamwork skills and a positive attitude
  • Education in industry, mechanics, or equivalent is advantageous
