Do you want to help shape the Gothenburg of the future? We are now looking for a new CEO who wants to lead GöteborgsLokaler – a company where customer benefit, business benefit, and societal benefit meet in everyday life. GöteborgsLokaler manages commercial premises for retail, offices, and municipal operations. All properties are located within the City of Gothenburg, with a particular focus on local trading places and squares.

The Role

In this role, you will drive the development of the modern, residential-adjacent trading place, based on the concept of the 15-minute city, where services, commerce, and meeting places are close to people's daily lives. You need to thrive in an environment where multiple perspectives meet – politics, business, citizens, and the organization – and where your leadership makes a real difference.

As CEO, you have overall responsibility for driving the company's mission to further develop attractive, safe, and well-functioning local trading and meeting places, as well as premises. You lead the operations with a clear focus on business, results, and long-term profitability, while ensuring continuous value creation through professional property management with a cost-effective organization. In this role, you actively contribute to sustainable urban development by integrating social, ecological, and economic perspectives into the operations, with a special focus on creating viable and attractive trading environments. You ensure well-functioning governance in accordance with shareholder directives and work in close collaboration with the City of Gothenburg, the Framtidskoncernen group, and relevant external actors.

We are looking for you who are an experienced and confident leader with strong strategic drive and genuine societal engagement. You have an academic education in a relevant field and several years of experience in senior positions with full P&L responsibility. You are accustomed to leading through others, have successfully developed managers and leadership teams, and have a documented ability to drive change management and business development with clear and measurable results.

You have a strong ability to deliver and follow up on business results and have experience from larger organizations or group structures. It is clearly meritorious if you have experience from the real estate industry and preferably working with commercial premises. If you also have experience from politically governed operations and work with urban development issues, we consider this particularly valuable.

You are clear in your communication and create engagement and involvement in the organization. With confidence, you navigate complex contexts and have the ability to make well-founded decisions even in situations characterized by uncertainty. You are a non-hierarchical relationship builder who inspires trust and builds long-term collaborations both internally and externally. Your business acumen is clear, and you have a well-developed ability to balance demands for profitability with broader societal responsibility. At the same time, you are courageous and development-oriented, with a strong will to drive change and contribute to the organization's continued development.
