Your Role

As a Surface Treatment Technician at Saab Muskö, you will join a cohesive team responsible for the maintenance and service of ships and submarines. You will have the opportunity to work both onboard the vessels and in the workshop, with varied tasks such as:

• Rust protection painting and blasting
• Sanding, lacquering, and cleaning
• Painting work and material preparation
• Hand lay-up and vacuum infusion (as needed).

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have experience with both surface treatment and composite materials, preferably from professional work or hobby projects. You have a practical aptitude and thrive in a workshop environment where you solve problems efficiently. As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and able to work both independently and in a team. We offer a dynamic work environment with great opportunities for both personal and professional development. Therefore, we appreciate that you are curious, driven, and always want to develop.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

• Relevant experience or education in industry, workshop, or surface treatment
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license and access to your own car

The following are meritorious:

• Experience with composite work (hand lay-up, infusion)
• Lift license and experience operating lifts
• Fall protection training, thermoset plastic training, and hot work certification

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may in some cases entail citizenship requirements.
