Job Responsibilities

You will be an important part of our customer service function for Tåg i Bergslagen and VL. As a Customer Advisor, you work to ensure that our passengers get answers to their questions, concerns, and feedback. You assist passengers with all types of inquiries, such as rerouting their travel plans during traffic disruptions and handling delay compensation. Contact with passengers is primarily made via email, phone, and social media.

Together with other Customer Advisors, you update the internal knowledge base to share experiences and answers to difficult questions. You belong to Customer Service and work under the VL and Tåg i Bergslagen brands. You are part of a pool of hourly substitutes who replace our permanent staff during absences. Evening and weekend work is included.

Customer Service has close cooperation with the Booking Centre, which means that in parallel with your work as a Customer Advisor, you will also serve as a Booking Operator. This includes answering calls, booking, and planning trips in our booking system.

This hourly position is suitable to be combined with studies, for example.

About the Workplace

The position is located in Västerås, and you will be employed by the Public Transport Administration.

The Public Transport Administration is part of Region Västmanland and is tasked with providing public transport for the entire county of Västmanland. In addition to bus line traffic, this includes medical travel, transport service for people with disabilities, and special school transport.

Approximately 100 employees work at the administration, handling tasks such as traffic planning, sales, IT systems, finance, customer service, and communication.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education. Previous experience in customer advisory is an advantage. If you also have experience in written customer contact and case management, we consider this a benefit. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of other languages is seen as a great plus.

We see you as a confident and stable person. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate with other people, and you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You strive to help our passengers in a service-oriented manner. It comes naturally to you to always think customer service.

Employment Terms

Position based on need, hourly substitute. Scheduled working hours including evenings and weekends. Start date as agreed.
