About the Department

At the Cardiology Unit/HIA, you work in a team together with nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, and physio- and occupational therapists. The department focuses on heart diseases such as angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, postoperative care, as well as other patients in need of cardiac monitoring. The Cardiology Unit/HIA has a high patient flow, and the average length of stay is relatively short (but varies as different diagnoses require different lengths of care). No two days are alike. The Cardiology Unit/HIA offers an stimulating and developing workplace with good teamwork centered around the patient. When you start with us, we offer an individually tailored introduction. We are now looking for five assistant nurses for full-time temporary positions from 2026-08-31 to 2027-02-21.

Responsibilities

The work as an assistant nurse at the Cardiology Department involves general as well as specific cardiac nursing care, including:

  • Cardiac nursing care
  • Sampling (blood tests)
  • ECG
  • Documentation
  • Evaluating vital parameters.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

  • Have a complete assistant nurse education with a focus on emergency care
  • Have adequate knowledge in sampling (especially venous blood sampling) and vital parameters
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
  • Can work 2 out of 5 weekends, as well as day and evening shifts

It is an advantage if you

  • Have experience working as an assistant nurse within cardiology
