Stockholm – our capital city of millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
The Bromma District Administration offers you a workplace where your efforts can truly make a difference and contribute to the public good in a growing district. Here, active employee participation and clear leadership form the foundation for a developing operation.
Welcome to us
We are embarking on an exciting development journey in Bromma where we are building a completely new unit for the in-house operation of parks and green areas. Our mission is to create a sustainable and attractive urban environment where parks and green spaces are well-maintained and contribute to a pleasant environment for the district's approximately 82,000 residents.
The new unit will consist of a unit manager, a supervisor, and a team of 16 park workers. The group operates from a shared facility and works closely with other colleagues in the urban environment sector. As a park worker, you are a crucial part of ensuring high quality in the maintenance of our outdoor areas by providing support during the summer season.
We have high ambitions to develop the public outdoor environments of the district and look forward to having you on board! We warmly welcome your application!
What we offer
Bromma has three nature reserves and over 500 hectares of natural land. We currently manage three nature reserves: Kyrksjölötens Nature Reserve, Judarns Nature Reserve, and part of Grimsta Nature Reserve, as well as about 80 playgrounds and three beach bathing areas.
For us, it is important to have fun at work! You will become part of an engaged workplace with a strong focus on the residents of Bromma. Our operations are characterized by collaboration, courage, empathy, and respectful treatment.
Your role
As a summer park worker, you contribute to creating a safe, well-maintained, and pleasant environment for Bromma's residents, with the goal of working long-term, sustainably, and circularly. Together with the other park workers in the unit, you form the park group and have daily dialogue with the supervisor of the operation area. The unit is strengthened with holiday workers during the summer season.
The Unit for the Operation of Parks and Green Areas is a developing operation. In-house park maintenance will start in the spring of 2026 after having been outsourced on contract for over twenty years. Here you have the opportunity to influence the development of the new unit by contributing your knowledge and experience. Together, the unit will focus on designing efficient and climate-smart working methods and sustainable operations that provide value for the residents and the environment in Bromma.
Your tasks will vary and may include, for example:
Since a large part of the work is outdoors, it is important that you enjoy working outside regardless of the weather. Both the role and the unit are new and under development, which means you may perform all common tasks within park and nature maintenance and cleaning. You have scheduled working hours, and weekend work may occur in connection with holidays and peak seasons.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who:
It is an advantage if you have:
As a park worker, you meet the residents of Bromma daily and are the face of the district. Therefore, good service and a friendly attitude are a given for you, as is being driven by creating pleasant and well-maintained outdoor environments. You are enduring, work independently, and enjoy working outdoors in all seasons. You thrive in team collaboration with colleagues and have the ability to easily adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities, motivation, and commitment to the position!
