About the Operations

County Hospital Somatic Care coordinates the county hospital care for specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county hospital operations. These operations are conducted at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, as well as several clinics located in various towns in the county. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.

County Operations Eye, which is part of County Hospital Somatic Care, provides specialized eye care for the county's residents. We have full clinic operations in three locations in the county: Sollefteå, Sundsvall, and Örnsköldsvik. We also have limited clinic operations in Härnösand. Our mission is to investigate, treat, and operate on diseases in and around the eye. In total, we have just under 100 employees in the county, where various professional groups work closely together with the patient at the center.

We are now looking for two licensed physicians for specialist training (ST), who wish to join our team and be part of the continued development of our operations in Sundsvall. The positions are permanent full-time employment with start dates to be agreed upon.

Job Responsibilities

As an ST-physician with us, you will receive a structured training program focused on practical clinical skills. We offer varied work with pleasant colleagues. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with evening and weekend on-call duties rotated between Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, and Sollefteå. Day on-call duties are Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed physician
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you

• Have worked as a substitute junior doctor at an eye clinic
