Job Opportunity: Dietitian at Svartbäcken Health Centre

Our 1,800 employees work with primary care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centres or within habilitation services, and we provide telephone advice via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we tailor our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Welcome to Svartbäcken Health Centre!

We are now looking for you who are a dietitian and interested in joining our team at Svartbäcken Health Centre! Our current dietitian will be going on parental leave, so we are now offering a fixed-term position (80-100%) with an agreed start date, until January 2027.

We focus on secure employment and a good benefits package through our collective agreement. Here you will receive benefits that make a difference; read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/ (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/)).

Your Role

As a dietitian in Primary Care and Health, you work at the primary care level. The role covers the entire population in Uppsala County, all ages, including Child Health Services (BVC) and Elderly Care. The tasks consist of dietary treatment and counseling for patients individually and in groups, as well as internal training for other staff. You will investigate, treat, and prevent diseases and symptoms related to diet.

Responsibilities and tasks may include, for example:

  • Conduct nutritional assessments and evaluate patients' nutritional status
  • Design and implement individually tailored diet plans to meet patients' specific needs and goals
  • Provide advice and support to patients with diet-related health issues, such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and digestive problems
  • Educate and inform patients, families, and care teams about nutrition-related topics and best practices for healthy eating
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure an integrated care plan

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian, preferably with previous experience from working in primary care. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you have the capacity to work independently as well as a good ability to develop operations and collaboration, both within and between health centres and with neighboring care providers.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability, which for us means that you want to contribute to a good work climate by being positive, having a flexible working style, and a good ability to collaborate with others in the team, while also having the habit and drive to work independently.

Our Operations

Svartbäcken Health Centre belongs to the Primary Care and Health administration in Region Uppsala and is one of the county's largest health centres with approximately 19,000 registered patients. We are centrally located in Uppsala and have 75 employees where all professional roles within the health centre's mission are represented. Our patients are both young and old who live in the area or in the surrounding countryside. This makes our work both varied and developing. The operations also include branches in Bälinge and Björklinge.

Region Uppsala values the qualities that equal gender distribution and diversity bring to the operations and welcomes applicants of all genders and with different birth backgrounds, functionalities, and life experiences.

Region Uppsala mobilizes all permanent staff based on the needs of the total defense. This means no obligations for the individual employee in peacetime but is solely a planning measure.

Before a decision on employment, a check of the suspicion and criminal records is conducted for all job seekers who in the sought employment may come to work within psychiatric care, habilitation, care of children and youth, or involuntary care of addicts, areas covered by facultative record extracts. This thus applies to all who will work close to patients, even if the tasks at present are not intended to primarily contain work with the aforementioned patient groups.

This recruitment is conducted entirely through Region Uppsala's own channels, and we decline phone calls from recruitment agencies and advertising sales.
