Shift Mechanic at Fiskarhedens Trävaru AB

Fiskarhedens Trävaru AB is one of Sweden's largest and most modern privately owned sawmills. We are located just a stone's throw from the Vasaloppet start in Transtrand, right in the heart of Dalarna. With around 160 dedicated employees, we are the largest industrial company in Malung-Sälen municipality.

Each year, we produce over 380,000 cubic meters of pine and spruce timber, with more than 80% exported to customers around the world. Job Description

We are now looking to strengthen our maintenance department with a Shift Mechanic. Here, you will work in a modern industrial environment where new technology and equipment are in focus. You will contribute to ensuring stable and efficient operations in our production.

The entire facility will be your workplace, meaning a varied and developing role. You will work close to production with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, becoming an important part of the team that ensures machines and equipment function optimally.

Your main tasks consist of both preventive and corrective maintenance within mechanics across the entire industry. The work covers areas such as welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

The position is a permanent full-time employment (100%).

The work involves continuous 2-shift work (37 hours/week) according to the following schedule:

• Week off
• Evening shift
• Day shift including weekend work

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Upper secondary education in mechanics or equivalent experience
• Experience in mechanical maintenance within industry or similar operations
• Category B driver's license (manual transmission)
• Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to work
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Orderliness and a sense for service-oriented work
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

Merits:

• Experience from sawmills or process industry
• Good knowledge of turning, milling, and welding is a merit.
