In connection with a colleague retiring, we are now looking for an electrician (montör) for our electrical engineering group. Falu Municipality stops without us. It's that simple – when the electricity in the grid disappears, it is noticed immediately by our customers. In the electrical engineering group, we are responsible for ensuring the power grid works, 24/7. Our mission is to secure operation and maintenance, and when something happens, we need to act quickly and be on-site to get everything working again.

The group also plays an important role in developments and new constructions. As you surely know, Falun is growing. We are becoming more municipal residents, which in turn means that our socially vital infrastructure needs to be expanded. At Elteknik, we make this possible and perform work based on what our customers need to be able to live and reside in the municipality. The industry is also in a very exciting and expansive phase.

Work as a distribution electrician/electrician (montör)

As an electrician (montör), you will work within our distribution area with electrical distribution facilities. The voltage range of the facilities is 0.4 to 24 kV, and you will also work with our 50 kV grid. Our daily work is varied, consisting of renewal work, fault repair, service, and maintenance – in both underground cable networks and overhead line networks. Since we work both proactively and reactively to handle emerging deviations, on-call duty may potentially be included in the position.

As an electrician (montör) with us, you will work in a work team of two electricians. Your colleagues have extensive experience from the electrical industry, and you provide good support for each other. For us, it is important to come up with the best solutions based on quality, but also electrical safety. You will be part of a wonderful group of 14 people. The group has a strong sense of community and cares for each other. There is also a great deal of knowledge and competence in the group that is of great use in our varied, fast-paced workday.

Your tasks include among other things:

• New construction
• Renewal work
• Reconstruction
• Fault repair and maintenance

Your profile

We are looking for you who are solution-oriented, practical, and enjoy working independently as well as in a group. To thrive in the role, you need to be flexible, meticulous, and have an easy time collaborating. Since our tasks are sometimes physically demanding and outdoors, you should have good physical fitness and enjoy working in all weather conditions.

Furthermore, we see that you are a down-to-earth person who can find calm in a stressful situation and are well aware of quality and the importance of working in a safe manner. If you value teamwork highly, have a strong work ethic, and a non-hierarchical approach towards others, this is a position for you.

We are looking for you who have:

• Electrician training, preferably distribution electrician with a few years of professional experience
• Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written
• Category B driver's license

It is meritorious if you have:

• Worked with electrical distribution networks, training in and experience from work according to EBR, ESA, and high-current regulations. Other industry training such as “Work on the road”, pole climbing, and chainsaw license are also meritorious.
• Category C and BE driver's license
• Experience in inspecting distribution networks
