In Trelleborg, we work together to build a growing, successful municipality where it is good to live. Our 61 villages and 21 city districts are creative meeting places bubbling with life. Here, we have ambitions, share our stories, and come as we are. This allows us to welcome others with the same generosity and curiosity.
Welcome to join the journey!
The Social Services Board's mission is to work with social services and provide support, ensuring that everyone in the municipality feels safe and has equal opportunities in life. We want everyone to be able to be active and participate in society. With a focus on respecting the individual's right to determine their own life, we are responsible for three important areas: care and support, assistance for people with disabilities, and help for individuals and families. Our goal is for everyone to receive the support and care they need.
Since everything Trelleborg Municipality does is based on our core values of openness, respect, and responsibility, it is important and crucial that these values are just as natural for you as they are for us in our work.
The Workplace
Do you want to work with people and make a real difference in everyday life? With us in social psychiatry, you will find meaningful work where you, together with service users, support them in living as independent and functional a life as possible.
We are an engaged team working from a person-centered and solution-focused approach. Our workplace is characterized by cooperation, openness, and respect – both towards each other and those we serve. We place great emphasis on good treatment and creating safety, participation, and structure in the daily lives of our service users.
We are now looking for a colleague to join our team for a temporary position, as one of our employees is on parental leave. This gives you the opportunity to become part of our operations and contribute your skills to important and developing work.
As an employee with us, you will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role while contributing your skills and ideas to daily work. Our employees thrive because the work is varied, meaningful, and offers the chance to make a difference every day.
Job Responsibilities
As a housing support worker, you work closely with service users in their daily lives. You provide support based on individual needs and implementation plans, focusing on strengthening independence and quality of life.
The work includes supporting daily tasks such as cleaning, shopping, and maintaining structure at home. You motivate and support users in social contacts and activities, as well as providing support in contacts with authorities and healthcare providers.
The work also involves working with routines, planning, and structure in daily life, as well as documenting according to current guidelines.
You work both independently and together with colleagues in a team. The work requires you to adapt your approach based on the individual's daily condition and needs, making the work both developing and occasionally challenging.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have relevant education, for example as an assistant nurse, care assistant, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working in psychiatry, social psychiatry, or similar operations, as well as good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You also have basic computer skills and a B-driver's license for manual transmission.
It is meritorious if you have experience with housing support or similar support measures in a home environment. We also appreciate that you have knowledge about mental illness and neuropsychiatric disabilities, as well as experience with low-affective treatment and motivational work, such as MI (Motivational Interviewing).
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be secure, sensitive, and have a genuine interest in people. You have a respectful and professional attitude, are flexible, and can adapt to changing situations. Furthermore, you have the ability to work both independently and in a team, while being structured and responsible.
