We are located in central Umeå, where we conduct adult education activities in areas such as languages, art and crafts, music and dance, as well as vocational training and labor market services. Approximately 25 employees work here, and hundreds of participants fill our premises every week – during the day, evenings, and weekends. We also rent out our spaces to external parties on both long and short-term basis, and in some cases, we collaborate closely with them.

As a property maintenance technician with us, no two days are alike.

The role includes, among other things:

• Maintenance and supervision of the building's interior and exterior environments
• Ensuring that critical systems for ventilation, heating, and electricity are functioning correctly
• Handling ongoing repairs, both urgent and planned
• Managing transports and deliveries
• Responsible for alarm and locking systems
• Contacting qualified technicians for services such as elevator maintenance, ventilation, and fire safety
• Snow clearing and lawn mowing depending on the season
• Some administrative tasks, where computer literacy is required

• Have documented experience in property maintenance
• Are a handy problem solver who thrives on new challenges
• Can identify the organization's needs and prioritize both short-term and long-term tasks
• Are quality- and cost-conscious
• Enjoy working in an environment where you interact with people and have a positive, service-oriented attitude
• Have strong administrative skills and can work with digital systems

Specialized knowledge in electrical or plumbing systems is an advantage.

A valid driver's license is required.

About the employment

The position is a permanent part-time role at 50%, starting with a probationary period. An increased employment degree can be discussed based on competence and ability to handle, for example, long-term planning, as well as contract issues, rental, and lease matters.
