Department of Student and Educational Support

We are looking for a driven and initiative-taking person who enjoys working with all types of media, both independently and in a team. The Department of Student and Educational Support is part of the operational support unit, consisting of approximately 40 employees distributed across four campuses. We are responsible for administrative and support activities primarily concerning student and educational matters.

About the Job

Your tasks will include, among other things:

• planning, filming, and editing video as well as photography
• creating and processing subtitles in both Swedish and English
• supporting audio recording, for example for podcasts
• administrative work, such as compiling hours for invoicing

Appearing on camera, including voice-over work, may occur. The role involves travel to various SLU locations. You will work independently and sometimes in collaboration with the commissioning party within the organization.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who is responsible, confident, and stable, with good self-awareness and sound judgment. You should thrive working both independently and collaboratively. Since you will be supporting and collaborating with colleagues and others within the organization, you need to be receptive, clear, a good communicator, service-oriented, and easy to work with.

You already have solid experience working with video filming, editing, audio, etc. You are flexible, quick to take on new tasks, and adaptable to change. You have knowledge of accessibility requirements to ensure produced media meets these standards. You must be proficient in Adobe's various media products. Given SLU's type of operations, drone filming may also occur, so having a drone license is a merit.

You must be fluent in both Swedish and English.

About Us

The Unit for Education Systems and Media works on the digitalization of the educational environment and is responsible for SLU's digital tools for learning support as well as media production. Most employees are based at Campus Ultuna in Uppsala, but the unit also has staff at SLU's campuses in Umeå and Skara. The position is located in Uppsala.

The Department of Student and Educational Support also includes the Unit for Student and Career Support and the Unit for Study Administration and Mobility.
