Do you want to make a real impact? Here you contribute to creating security for people and societies. What you do matters.
Your Role
Missile Systems is a business unit within Business Area Dynamics, with its own profit responsibility for product management, marketing, and sales, as well as program management of advanced missile systems for customers worldwide. We are now looking for a Contract Manager to join our Commercial Management organization.
Our business is often extensive and complex, based on long-term commitments spanning several decades. It covers everything from development and delivery to support and further development of our systems. As a Contract Manager, you will become part of a professional team working on high-value business together with customers and partners around the world.
Your main responsibility is to ensure professional and commercial contract management throughout the entire contract lifecycle. You will support several programs and projects during the execution phase and play a central role in contract changes, commercial issues, and negotiations.
In this role, you act as the commercial contact person for assigned programs, working with cost estimation, business cases, contract terms, and commercial risk management. You also contribute to ensuring that business decisions follow internal governance processes, customer requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
In addition, you participate in quotation and bidding work, support negotiations, and serve as an advisor to the program and business organization.
The position is primarily office-based, but both national and international travel occurs to lead or support customer and partner meetings as well as negotiations. Travel between Saab's different sites is also a natural part of the role.
Your Profile
You have a genuine interest in business and enjoy building long-term relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. You are commercial, analytical, and structured, while also having a proactive and solution-oriented approach to work.
You collaborate well with others but are also confident in working independently and taking responsibility for delivering high quality within given timeframes. You thrive in a professional environment where the pace is sometimes high and multiple parallel activities need to be handled simultaneously.
You communicate confidently and professionally with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and have excellent command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills are an asset.
We believe you have a university degree in law, engineering, economics, or business administration, or equivalent relevant work experience. You have several years of experience in areas such as contract management, project management, strategic procurement, technology, economics, or other commercial business areas. Experience from the defense industry is an asset.
To succeed in the role, you have a good commercial understanding and experience working with pricing models, cost control, cash flow, contracts, commercial risk management, and negotiations. You also have experience working in complex collaborations and partnerships and are accustomed to analyzing commercial and financial information, including in MS Excel.
The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance assessment according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
Please note that we are conducting ongoing selection and that the position may be filled before the application deadline has passed.
What You Will Be Part Of
Discover endless possibilities. Take on challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your skills. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together we achieve the extraordinary, each bringing their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.
