The Unit's Mission

Arbetsförmedlingen Dalarna is a unit with approximately 120 employees located in Avesta, Borlänge, and Mora. Together, we offer in-depth support for employers and job seekers through physical or remote meetings. Our main mission is to equip, match, and support job seekers on their path to work and/or studies, as well as to support employers in finding labor and thereby contribute to competence supply.

Our catchment area consists of 15 municipalities. You will work closely with psychologists, occupational therapists/physiotherapists, and employment counselors.

The mission of Arbetsförmedlingen includes conducting work-oriented rehabilitation in the form of guidance, investigation, rehabilitative, or work-preparatory measures.

Job Description

As a psychologist with us, you work to identify and utilize job seekers' resources and opportunities in the labor market.

You strengthen their motivation and help them understand their working conditions, while also contributing to making labor market policy assessments in close collaboration with employment counselors. These assessments are an important part of the agency's mission.

Your role also includes work-psychological interventions towards employers, for example by providing support in the employment of people with disabilities. The work is carried out in collaboration with external actors such as municipalities, healthcare, independent actors, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, as well as internally within the organization.

You are also expected to contribute your specialist competence by interpreting medical records and sharing relevant knowledge with employment counselors and other professional roles. Documentation is an important part of your duties, and travel within Dalarna occurs.

Basic Requirements for the Position

  • Psychologist license from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen)
  • At least two years of experience working as a psychologist
  • Category B driver's license

Other Merits for the Position

  • Experience in work-oriented rehabilitation
  • Experience in psychological testing

Our Offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probation period. Start date by agreement. The location is Borlänge, alternatively Avesta or Mora. We also have the possibility of part-time remote work.
