What we offer you!

We offer a developing workplace and are looking for you who are passionate about meal joy. As a cook, you will, together with your work team, be responsible for meal quality and cooking in the kitchen. You plan and organize the daily work. The Lyckåsa kitchen prepares just over 260 daily portions as well as 250 school meals. In our work team, there are four cooks and three meal service staff, and we are now looking for more colleagues.

The duties include preparation and cooking of food, meals, and special diets. Furthermore, all tasks that occur in a kitchen are included, such as inventory management, self-control, dishwashing, and cleaning. You have a sustainable approach and use the organization's resources in a smart and efficient way. In the role, you will have the opportunity to influence and develop your work in different work groups and forums. It also includes introducing new employees, and you may also become a mentor for interns or participants in various labor market measures.

The job we offer is a permanent 100% position with weekend work, starting as agreed. In our area, we cooperate across boundaries, which means you are placed 80% at the Lyckåsa kitchen and 20% of the position is resource time in other kitchens.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who;

• have a cook's education, or alternatively other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• have recent work experience as a cook from a large-scale kitchen.
• have good computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• can communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• can handle physically demanding work with heavy lifting.
• have a B driver's license and access to a private car for possible transport between kitchens.

We consider it meritorious if you have worked for a few years in elderly care kitchens and have experience working with special diets. It is also meritorious if you have worked in Matilda or another diet data system, as well as in Unit4 or a corresponding e-commerce system.

As a cook, you play an important role in our development work within meals. You contribute to building good relationships through good communication and cooperation, both within your work team and with meal guests and employees in the operation where your kitchen is located. Together, we create meal joy with quality for each individual at the right time.

To thrive in the role of a cook, you are engaged, quality-conscious, and positive, and have the ability to inspire your colleagues and find creative solutions. You have a genuine interest in food, meals, and people. About us

The Technical Administration is responsible for creating safe, functional, and sustainable environments for the municipality's inhabitants, employees, and visitors. We work broadly and coordinated within several important service areas, including property, street and park, meals, and local care. With us, you work to make everyday life better for our inhabitants every day.

Within the meal department, approximately 200 employees work with preparing and serving meals. We are located in preschools, primary schools, after-school centers, high schools, and within the care administration. With a focus on service and treatment, we solve the operation's needs with high competence and visible quality.
