Description

We are now looking for an engaged priest for Visby Cathedral Parish.

As a priest in Visby Cathedral Parish, you will work in all our three churches; Visby Cathedral St. Mary, Terra Nova Church, Visborg Church, special housing units, and the funeral chapel.

You are attuned to the parish's need for spiritual guidance and pastoral care, which is part of the role, as well as conducting worship services and church ceremonies. The position also includes work related to the hospital church's readiness and the parish's crisis and emergency preparedness work. You will also serve as a theological resource in the local work with the Church of Sweden's climate roadmap.

You will contribute to developing the parish's activities based on the parish instructions and prioritized areas. You want to help build a good society in Visby and on Gotland.

Qualifications

You are ordained in the Church of Sweden and confident in your theology. It is meritorious if you have a few years of parish experience.

Application

Your application should include a cover letter, CV, priest's letter, and a certificate according to Chapter 34, Section 10, Paragraph 2 of the Church Order (ready to serve in all duties together with others ordained for a task within the church's ordination service regardless of their gender). You must also be able to produce an extract from the criminal record.
