Construction Builder for Large Steel Structures

At Parsteel, we are now looking for a construction builder for our workshop. The role involves building, fitting, and welding large steel structures with high precision, where a sense for construction, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are important parts of the job.

The most important thing for us is that you have practical skills, can see how a structure should be assembled, and enjoy working practically. Experience in welding is an advantage, but we value the right attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to contribute to the team above all else.

About the Role

In this role, you will become an important part of the work involved in building and completing large steel structures.

You will, among other things:

• Build, fit, and complete steel structures according to drawings and specifications
• Work with larger details and projects where understanding the whole picture is important
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues in welding, assembly, and production
• Participate in improvement work regarding quality, flow, and working environment
• Document and report work in our systems

Welding is a significant part of the role, but we do not require you to be a trained or certified welder when you start with us. If you have the right attitude, practical skills, and willingness to learn, we will help you develop the competence needed to succeed in the role.

You will receive a thorough introduction and training. We help you grow into the role and develop the necessary competence.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has practical experience in construction, assembly, workshop, industry, or similar work
• Has previous experience building and fitting large structures based on drawings
• Is meticulous, responsible, and solution-oriented with a focus on quality
• Is a team player who contributes to a positive work environment and collaborates well with colleagues
• Is flexible and thrives in a project-based operation where tasks vary.

Experience in welding is an advantage, but it is not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have the right attitude, practical understanding, and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing large welded structures
• Ability to read drawings
• Familiarity with overhead cranes or forklifts
• Experienced welder
