What does it mean to be a Store Manager at Sportshopen?

As a store manager, you are an operational leader, leading the daily operations and having the ultimate responsibility for your store and its staff. You motivate and lead your employees so that together you achieve set goals regarding sales and well-being.

The role also includes:

• Responsibility for developing working methods and processes for how the store should function efficiently and follow Sportshopen's concept.
• Responsibility for monitoring key figures in your own store in line with the company's requirements.
• Sales and profitability responsibility as well as resource planning in the form of scheduling and staffing.
• Recruit and onboard new store staff.
• Implement and ensure that routines are followed - we work to have a safe and secure work environment.
• Create conditions for you and your employees to develop.
• You are always a role model for your employees by working based on our values.

What is required to succeed in the role?

We believe you have experience working in a similar role and are accustomed to working with staffing, personnel planning, and follow-up. Of course, you have experience with and a passion for customer service and sales within retail, preferably within sports and clothing. You have at least a high school education, and if you have further developed yourself within leadership and/or economics, it is an advantage. We see that you have knowledge of sports and leisure products and are good at conveying your knowledge to both colleagues and customers. Then, of course, you have a passion for sales and how you can influence your store's results!

You enjoy coaching and inspiring your employees. You like working towards set goals, are business-oriented and structured - creating good results is a given for you. Of course, you have a genuine interest in sports and leisure products, and we would like to see that you have an active lifestyle.

Our conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probation period beginning in September. The position involves varying working hours, and weekend work occurs. We have a collective agreement.

Start date as agreed, preferably as soon as possible.

Who are we?

Swedemount Sportswear & Fashion AB was founded in 1991 and today has 23 stores under the name Sportshopen as well as one store under the name Bazar. In Sörred outside Gothenburg, we have our 20,000 sqm automated warehouse and office. In Grebbestad on the west coast, our headquarters and our largest store, which is the largest sports store in the Nordics at 14,000 sqm, are also located.

Our stores are located throughout Sweden, from north to south, with a growing e-commerce that also extends to the European market. Sportshopen is today one of the larger individual players in Sweden in terms of sales within sports and leisure. Our assortment consists mainly of clothes and shoes from leading brand suppliers, but we also develop and manufacture our own brands – clothes that can be used for activities in harsh climates, year-round.
