Description

At the Building and Environment Unit, 19 people currently work within the fields of environment, food, health protection, building, housing adaptation, alcohol, tobacco, and over-the-counter medicines. We are now looking for a temporary colleague to join the building group for a period of six months.

The work is free and flexible, and you have the autonomy to structure your own work. We prioritize business development and training for our employees and work closely together based on combined competence and experience. We also value time for reflection, collaboration, and discussion to ensure the quality of our methods and decisions.

Responsibilities

The position involves processing building permits, pre-decisions, coastal protection cases, notification-required cases, and supervision. The role includes responsibility for permit processing, handling coastal protection dispensations, and supervision. Additionally, you will engage in advisory work and maintain ongoing contact with citizens and businesses.

You are part of our building permit group but work independently on your cases. You make your own delegated decisions, prepare decision materials for the Social Services Committee, and present your cases there. Information, guidance, and advice are a very important part of your work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated in the Planning and Building Act or have another comparable education, alternatively significant experience from the profession, or other competence that the employer assesses as equivalent.

To succeed in the assignment, you must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You are expected to work in a structured manner and drive the planned work forward. The authority role requires the ability to make objective and factual assessments, set clear demands, and make your own decisions. This means you are both trustworthy and professional, while also being receptive and service-oriented. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
