For a consultancy assignment, we are looking for an interim group manager for Housing Services during the recruitment process.
Scope: Full-time 100%
Start: 2026-08-10
Duration: Until 2027-02-28, possibly longer.
We are now looking for an experienced and engaged leader for the University's Housing Services. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a business of great significance for international students, doctoral candidates, and researchers – while contributing to development, quality, and good service.
About the Business
Housing Services is responsible for the university's housing stock for international students, doctoral candidates, and researchers. The group currently consists of five employees and works, among other things, with:
- Housing administration
- Rental agreements and rent administration
- Customer service and support for students and researchers
- Collaboration with external landlords
- Development of processes and working methods
The operations are characterized by service, collaboration, and continuous development work.
About the Assignment
As interim group manager, you have overall responsibility for leading and developing the operations and creating good conditions for the employees in their daily work.
In the role, you will, among other things:
- Lead, plan, and follow up on operations
- Have personnel responsibility for the group's employees
- Be responsible for budget monitoring and resource planning
- Ensure an efficient operation with high quality and good service
- Support and coach employees in their daily work
- Drive and follow up on development initiatives and improvement work
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Report to the Section Manager for Premises and Housing Services

Requirements
You must have:
- At least three (3) years of documented managerial experience with personnel responsibility
- Documented experience of budget and operational responsibility
- Relevant academic education or equivalent experience assessed as comparable
- Experience of leading administrative, service-oriented, or property management-related operations
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to start the assignment no later than August 10, 2026
Merits
It is extra positive if you have experience from:
- Universities, higher education institutions, or other government agencies
- Housing services, property management, or rent administration
