DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION

Byle Gård is a specialized palliative care ward located on the outskirts of Täby Kyrkby. The ward has 18 beds for palliative inpatient care. We primarily care for patients with advanced cancer, although other terminal diagnoses are also present. We work as a team and provide high-quality care. Nothing is impossible here!

Here, you will join an experienced and competent team with long-standing experience in palliative care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Chef, your primary responsibility will be to prepare lunch and dinner with dessert for our patients, as well as special diets when needed. The role also includes baking for our patients and their relatives. We view meals as an important part of daily life, where your work can contribute to increased quality of life and joy through your cooking. As a Chef, you are responsible for planning menus, ordering food supplies, preparing, and serving homemade meals. You work independently but in close collaboration with the nursing staff. You will ensure that self-control measures are followed, keep the kitchen clean and tidy, and contribute to minimizing food waste.

QUALIFICATIONS

Chef training or equivalent. Education in self-control and food hygiene.

You should be responsible, have good collaboration and organizational skills, and be aware of quality and cost efficiency.

You are cheerful, positive, and wish to further develop quality work with nutrition together with us. You should want to do "the little extra" for the patients.

It is meritorious if you have worked in healthcare or similar operations.

The job requires that you have a good attitude and an empathetic approach. Personal suitability is highly valued.

REQUIREMENTS

Category B driver's license

HOURS/TERM OF EMPLOYMENT

Permanent position. Full-time (100%). Probation period applies.

Daytime hours, Monday–Friday.

SALARY

Monthly salary, collective agreement applies.

START DATE

2026-11-01, start date is negotiable.
