Vy Buss is looking for dedicated bus drivers for both school transport and scheduled services in Vänersborg/Mellerud

Vy Buss is now seeking a secure, responsible, and service-oriented driver who wants to drive both school buses and scheduled services. As a bus driver with us, you play a vital role in creating safety, punctuality, and good service – whether you are driving students to school or passengers on scheduled routes.

The position is a flexible employment (on-call) role, and you will be based out of both Vänersborg and Mellerud, which means you will have a varied and meaningful daily routine where no two days are alike.

Responsibilities

Your duties include:

• Safe and secure driving in both school transport and scheduled services
• Providing good service and answering questions from passengers
• Contributing to a positive experience for everyone traveling with us
• Ensuring punctuality and adhering to timetables
• Being a helpful hand for both colleagues and passengers

Other tasks may include, such as:

• Cleaning, washing, and safety checks of buses
• Wiping windows and cleaning the dashboard and hat racks
• Sorting lost and found items
• Cleaning the depot
• Maintenance/cleaning of coffee machines
• Waste sorting

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is secure, positive, and service-oriented. You should be able to provide clear information and answer questions, which means you need to have a good command of the Swedish language. A friendly and professional manner is a natural part of your personality, making you particularly appreciated by children and passengers. Furthermore, attention to detail and traffic safety are second nature to you, and you can handle stressful situations in a calm and responsible manner.

You must also have:

• A valid Category D driving license and YKB certification
• Ability to be based out of both our depots
• Experience in bus driving is meritorious but not a requirement – your attitude and willingness to do a good job are most important.

The position is a flexible employment (on-call) role. As part of our safety work, we conduct drug tests prior to employment. Alcohol and drug tests are conducted randomly during employment. We will also request extracts from the police criminal record.
