Are you interested in an exciting summer job where you get to drive a bus through Bohuslän's beautiful nature?

Vy Buss is looking for drivers for the summer season at our depots in Uddevalla and Smögen. Our routes stretch across the coastal communities of Bohuslän, where you will experience beautiful nature and lovely views. The length of the routes varies, and as a driver, you will drive both shorter and longer trips.

About the position

The summer period is peak season, which means that we at Vy Buss and the community really need you. We offer you a casual employment position based on hours, but we expect you to be available during weeks 28–32 for at least 4 days per week. If you prefer to work on a temporary contract during this period with 100% employment, that option is also available. The application deadline is June 21st, with a start date as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

Daily tasks include:

• Driving buses in varying traffic and environments
• Human interactions – big and small
• Responsibility for safe and secure driving
• Helping hands to colleagues and passengers
• Making the journey so good that people want to take the bus again

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys meeting people and sees every encounter as a chance to make someone's day a little brighter
• Has a valid Category D driving license and a valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Speaks and understands Swedish (so you can inform, instruct, and chat)
• Is responsible, meticulous, and drives safely, as if your own family were on the bus
• Can keep to schedules – or at least tries your best with a focus on safety
• Is flexible – the job has varying working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. We plan well in advance, but you need to be comfortable with days looking different

Experience in bus driving is meritorious but not a requirement.

Good to know

As part of our safety work, employment is preceded by a drug test conducted by an external occupational health service. Random alcohol and drug tests also occur during recruitment and continuously throughout employment. Upon employment, we will ask you to provide an extract from the police record of convictions.
